Since World War ¥±, multinational corporations(MNCs) have increasingly become one of the dominant vehicles for the international exchange of resources, technology and commodities. Along with the growing role of MNCs in global economy, there have long been controversis between defenders and critics of MNCs on the impacts of MNCs on the economic development of host LDCs. Comtemporary orhtodox economists argue that MNCs in general make a positive contribution to the economic development of host LCDs in terms of employment, market structure, balance of payments, and domestic savings and investment. However, such judgement can not be unique one because the real benefits of host LDCs vary from host country to host country, depending on the environment, system, and policies of host country to MNCs.
